Mid August Boredom

Things are slooow in the office, and I admit that my motivation is at a low point.  Earlier, I had really hoped that we would be on vacation right now. It's four months away until Jamaica, although the flights are booked.  We might take off early tomorrow and/or Friday, as Steve's latest paper is done. 

So here are five things keeping me somewhat occupied...

The new music blog.
Looking for good enchilada recipes.
Mark Steyn's new book, After America. 
Figuring out what we need to buy for the house
Trying not to snack too much...been very snackie lately.

Today

I passed 300 friends on Facebook.

I bought the husband a smoothie. I may miss those little trips to Robeks; they probably think I drink a lot of smoothies. He is currently a fan of Passionfruit. I prefer the blueberry or raspberry flavors.

I am trying to multitask...Miami, ABAW, speaker lists, emails, etc.

I am freaking out about how busy the next few weekends are.

I am trying to figure out a birthday gift for mom.

I am already thinking about trying to survive a 3 mile run. But I am looking forward to making pesto. Fresh basil!

Ten Things Going On Part II

1. Happy Birthday to my mom!!
2. I need to spend my $5 of borders bucks soon, and I'm not sure what to spend it on...I am reading A Magnificent Catastrophe. I finished Founding Brothers and Upstream, finally, in the last couple of weeks.
3. I need to get my snapfish pictures framed, finally!
4. I need to use my Gap 30% coupon on Thursday for new clothes!
5. Figure out the Vegas trip plans. Buy a new outfit to wear there, not get too stressed about J's shower, and try to have a good time.
6. Figure out when to do the car inspection.
7. Beat Steve's wordmole record!! Grrrr....
8. Buy an anniversary card!
9. Pack for Chincoteague!
10. Celebrate a year of wedded bliss!

Get a Valentine's day card/gift.
Pick out dresses for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding.
