A little politics, a little pop culture, a little sports. A little DC and a little Detroit. I'm not sure where I'm going with this yet, but we'll work it out along the way.

New Orleans '12
I really felt like we were just here. Just here. From lunch at the Palace Cafe, to dinner at Red Fish (and I ate red fish), to lunch at Muriel's Jackson Square (crawfish etoiffe) and dinner at Galatoire's, it was really just a rehash of past years. The same shrimp dish, turtle soup, pompano, salad, and bread pudding. Bread pudding is really the best ever dessert. Though, the highlight was seeing Russell Brand while we were waiting in line at Cafe du Monde. We saved their space in line for the odd new girlfriend. It was my first real celebrity sighting since 1997, when we saw the move with Robert Downey Jr. and Tommy Lee Jones in Chicago. So crazy.
