Well, not quite. Though I suspect I know what Mike and Mike will be talking about tomorrow.
And major kudos to deadspin.com for their amazing investigative journalism work. And Notre Dame? Why cover it up? So many unanswered questions. Specifically, what did he know and when did he know? And what will happen in the NFL draft? Are there serious character questions here? I think so...
A little politics, a little pop culture, a little sports. A little DC and a little Detroit. I'm not sure where I'm going with this yet, but we'll work it out along the way.

Today
Remarkably, the book is officially out. And oh yeah, Kramerbooks is selling it.
And we're back to football...finally football...Cowboys vs. Giants. Tonight. 8:30 p.m.
And so it begins.

Draft Day
A certain someone is gearing up for an evening gathering of epic proportions to celebrate the only Spring Football Holiday: Draft Day. With all of the hype about Andrew Luck and RG3, not to mention the speculation on which of the many needs the Cowboys will feel, this really does feel like a holiday, or as that certain someone puts it, "Christmas in April." Granted, the Caps great victory last night over the Bruins to win their first round playoff series has taken a tiny glimmer of luster off of this for DC. (Not to mention the Nats' being ten games over .500!) Usually the draft is all they have going for it at this time of year. However, at least in our household, Draft Day reigns supreme. Go Cowboys! Go Lions! (Still so weird for them not to have a top 5 pick!)

Tebow-Mania
So the End Zone Divas', Lions', and Cowboys' seasons are all over (I have NO idea if that is grammatically correct), but the NFL playoffs go on. Tim Tebow's 316 yard performance yesterday, particularly his game winning 80 yard touchdown, has captured the attention of America. Tebowing has its own website. The most anticipated game this coming weekend is the Broncos vs. the Patriots, with the coach who drafted Tebow (Josh McDaniels) now on the coaching roster of New England.
You cannot do much better, more dramatically than Tim Tebow. God bless him. And God bless football.

Detroit, and 5 Drudge Saviors
Detroit is going bankrupt. Shocking, I know. And while I applaud the salary cuts and the layoffs to try to barely make things meet, upping corporate taxes is not the savviest of strategies. Detroit needs to create jobs and attract business, not frighten it away but ultra over taxation. And while 1% isn't much, wouldn't a tax break to hire workers be a more effective method of creating jobs, thus income which can then be taxed for the city?
I know Dave Bing is grasping at straws. But still a bad idea.
1. Tim Tebow is Denver's savior? Well, you can't argue with success, especially against the Jets' D.
2. Newt Gingrich is the latest Republican savior, though gosh, is it still 1994?
3. The investigation into Natalie Woods' death is being reopened. It probably smacks of opportunism, after three decades. She had no savior then, or now.
4. Germany, however, is trying to save Europe. Or not, by derailing an EU referendum.
5. And Dems, who once censured Rangel, are trying to save his seat. Shameful. Boot him out, voters.

Bye Wade Phillips
After another embarrassing loss, Wade Phillips is a former Cowboys coach.
Though there seems to be confusion and disorganization around this. But still, for many Cowboys fans, and one in particular, this is a happy day in Dallas.
Though I think the most celebrating firing ever was the Fire Millen movement.

Boo
So the Cowboys game did not end so well. Boo. Well, hopefully this just means good things for next season, right? And they still beat the Eagles 3x!!
We also ate out weight in calories. Actually, red meat. Two straight days of meat. I don't even want dinner. We tried to recreate a botana platter with fajitas, cheese, tomatoes, etc. etc. So full. Ate too many chippies, too. Also hung out with G's little girls, who are super cute and sweet. Sigh. They asked me if I had a baby swimming in my belly. LOLOLOL.

Day Ten
I ran another 10K treadmill run this morning, at my 9 minute/mile pace. I felt good the entire time, like I could have gone further. Maybe it's the bananas? I still think they are nasty, nasty fruit, but as part of my vow to eat more fruits/veggies and eat good running food/fuel, they will have to do.
And how 'bout them Cowboys!!! Now they play Minnesota next week. Good game Boys, and yes, the hubby is a happy boy. I have to say my spaghetti & meatballs was good football food, and it probably needs to share credit with the banana for the run.
The Christmas tree is finally coming down today. I hate the sight of Christmas trees lonely by the side of the road. But this was a good tree, and I am looking forward to having the house back in order. Plus the second tv is finally upstairs!!
It's day ten of the year, and I've blogged every day. I don't expect to keep this up, but I realized how much I miss this journal keeping. Someday I'll have to go through the journals of old, some entries 23 years old already. Wow, I have diaries older than my assistant. The first ten days of 2010 have been good ones. Hopefully this a good precedent for the rest of the year.

Ten Things Going On
10. The Road to XVI: Un-victorious Lions? 0-16??
9. Kwame is going to jail today.
8. New Snow Patrol CD is out today!
7. Philadelphia yesterday. Got a picture with the Justice. Very exciting. Dinner at Capital Grille. Had the filet.
6. Seven days to the election. Yeah, we're going down.
5. I still need to buy new shoes. And work stuff. Sigh. Why am I unable to shop?
4. Halloween is Friday. I do not want to go out or get dressed up.
3. I did get a morning workout. Just a three and a half mile run. It was rainy and cold. Ugh.
2. Meeting with mortgage lady tonight....
1. And offer to come tomorrow?
